Elizabeth Sheridan, founder of Philip Madison, has been building client relationships and recruiting internationally for almost 20 years. The prior decade of functioning in sales and operations roles within the financial sector gave Elizabeth the solid business foundation that has helped shape her consultative approach. Her passion for sales and desire to work with start-up organizations led her to the recruiting world. Elizabeth founded Philip Madison in 2007 after earning the status of top producer in a Boston- based recruiting firm and again in New York City.

While focused very heavily within Information Security for nearly 20 years, Elizabeth has built several practices along the way – within HR Consulting, Legal, Manufacturing, IT Contract Staffing and various areas of Financial Services, including equity brokers and mortgage specialists.

Responsible for developing business and recruiting talent, Elizabeth’s search methodology was built around individual accountability for results. She has an outstanding track record of being a dedicated partner that uncovers and attracts talented professionals with the specific skills and experience necessary for the job, as well as the right personality and cultural fit for clients. Likewise, her expertise in the stages and subtleties of the hiring process ensures that she is able to help candidates qualify opportunities equally as well.

Elizabeth C. Vagenas
Liz Vagenas has been internationally recruiting for over 22 years. Liz is a former Human Resource Manager and Trainer, with over 22 years' of Staffing experience, serving as a leader of and a consultant to corporations on a national and global level. Additionally, she is a certified Life Coach specializing in career coaching and life transitions.

As a former Vice President of Staffing and Development, Liz has managed multiple office locations for several corporations and has served as a corporate recruiter, staffing advisor and trainer in the Cybersecurity, Technology, Human Resource, Legal, and Manufacturing areas. Liz’s many accomplishments during this time include repeatedly increasing profitability by massive margins.

In addition to her consultative and creative management expertise, Liz offers extensive knowledge in the areas of behavioral interviewing techniques, coaching, screening and selecting top candidates and evaluating current staffing processes. Liz has served on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association of Staffing Services and The Boston Human Resource Association. She has served as an advisor to the Boston Public School System’s Job Placement Advisory Council and is her volunteer community involvement includes a membership with the Boston Minstrels Group, a singing group that performs for homeless shelters in the city of Boston.

Karen Blackstone
Karen’s background spans nearly all areas of Sales and Business Development. Starting from inside sales, she climbed to field sales, sales management and sales enablement, earning over-achievement accolades along the way.

Working with companies such as Oracle, TIBCO, Akamai, NetSuite (acquired by Oracle), and Palo Alto Networks, Karen has experience with large and small companies and became skilled at negotiating from the role of a sales professional as well as an Internet buyer.

Her strengths as a human connector resulted in Karen’s status as a top three contributor of Akamai’s global employee referral program as well as a large contributor to Oracle’s employee referral program. This connection ability combined with her knowledge of technology sales organizations makes her uniquely qualified to represent CEOs, CROs and VPs of Sales in building top performing teams.
