Elizabeth Sheridan, founder of Philip Madison, has been building client relationships and recruiting internationally for over 20 years. The prior decade of functioning in sales and operations roles within the financial sector gave Elizabeth the solid business foundation that has helped shape her consultative approach. Her passion for sales and desire to work with start-up organizations led her to the recruiting world. Elizabeth founded Philip Madison in 2007 after earning the status of top producer in a Boston-based recruiting firm and again in New York City.

While focused very heavily within security for 20+ years, Elizabeth has built several practices along the way—within HR consulting, legal, manufacturing, IT contract staffing and various areas of financial services, including equity brokers and mortgage specialists.

As a business developer and talent recruiter, Elizabeth’s search methodology is rooted in individual accountability, ensuring that she delivers results that align with her clients’ needs. She has earned a reputation for uncovering and attracting top-tier professionals that not only possess the necessary technical expertise but also align with the cultural and organizational fit of her clients. Elizabeth is known for her ability to guide candidates through the nuances of the hiring process, helping them qualify opportunities with equal precision.

Highly regarded for her direct communication style, exceptional qualification skills, accessibility and thorough follow-through, Elizabeth works with clients and candidates across diverse industries, both domestically and internationally. Outside of her professional work, Elizabeth is passionate about giving back and dedicates time to supporting organizations that assist military veterans. Her ultimate goal is to build a rescue farm, where she can provide a safe haven for animals in need.

ELIZABETH C. VAGENAS Boston, MA

Liz is a certified coach specializing in assisting clients as a trusted advisor and partner in areas of recruiting, company growth, restructuring and employee retention on a national and global level.

As a former vice president of staffing and development, Liz has managed multiple office locations for several corporations and has served as a corporate recruiter, staffing advisor and trainer in the cybersecurity, technology, human resource, legal and manufacturing areas. Liz’s many accomplishments during this time include repeatedly increasing profitability by massive margins.

In addition to her consultative and creative management expertise, Liz offers extensive knowledge in the areas of behavioral interviewing techniques, coaching, screening and selecting top candidates and evaluating current staffing processes. Liz has served on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Association of Staffing Services and the Boston Human Resource Association.

She has served as an advisor to the Boston Public School System’s Job Placement Advisory Council and her volunteer community involvement includes a membership with the Boston Minstrels Group, a singing group that performs for homeless shelters in the city of Boston.
